I've been wanting to get myself a laptop for awhile now and just happened to see this on the future shop website yesterday. I don't really know too much about laptops, but this seemed pretty decent to me. I'm not looking for a laptop that's going to be super awesome for gaming, Its more going to be for writing, browsing, burning movies/music, etc. But if it can play games decently, thats a plus.

Laptop

Is this a good deal?

its definitely decent. You may be able to play regular games with it, buts in an onboard video card, so its not going to be the greatest. Its also going to eat away from the 2gigs of ram on it, which for Vista's sake, 2 gigs I would say is the minimum. Good thing is, you can specify how much ram it takes. If I were you, i'd see if I can get it with an extra gig of ram. Bit of a slow HD too, but it will be fine.

All in all, for what you want to use it for, I'd say its a decent deal. Toshiba is a good brand to buy.

also, get the warranty. When I worked at Staples, you'd be amazed how many laptops came back without warrenty that ended up costing more money to fix that to buy a new one. Its worth it for laptops, as much as I hate them.

Yeah, i'd agree with ' decent ' . Its definitely nothign to scream about, but then it's only 7 bills.. So if you're not goign to be using this as your main machine, i'd be pretty comfortable with it.

Have you considered used, at all ?
